Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine.     It was everything! I took my honey and son there on a date for Valentine’s. We drove 53 minutes to get there. We wanted to try a few things so we ordered: chargrilled oysters, the crab dip, and the chicken bites. I also ordered the beet salad. As our entrees, we had the blackened grouper, broiled seafood platter, and my son had the burger. I know, it was a lot of food but everything was delicious. Even the drinks!

    Outstanding food and service as always. Wife and I went here for a Valentine’s date after spending our rehearsal dinner here last year. Was a little nervous about sitting outside in February (we reserved close to the day and that’s all that was left), but it’s well heated and enclosed so we were very comfortable. Plus, it was quiet compared to sitting inside. High prices but justified by the wonderful quality of food and service. This will continue to be our go-to for special occasions.

    Wonderful birthday lunch for a friend! Food was fantastic- definitely try the fried cauliflower! Pear salad was fresh and outstanding. Server was fun, kind and on it! Loved that the owner stopped by to check on us too. Highly recommend!
