Novo Italian is a chef-driven trattoria in the heart of Kitsilano, featuring fresh pasta, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and a seasonal focus on farm-to-table dining expertly prepared by head chef Randy and his team. Our newly renovated dining room and bar takes inspiration from the Italo-Mid Century movement of 1960's Rome, featuring an intimate yet convivial dining atmosphere with walnut-clad walls and hand-blown Bocci light fixtures. Enjoy an Aperol Spritz or Peroni at our bar or on our patio pre or apres theatre. We welcome all for as long as one wishes to stay.     Modern upbeat restaurant, kind of in a longitudinal shape with two floors. It has a more open space and light vibe, less a dark or intimate setting. The server was really nice, the drinks (red wine, cocktail) were good. The bread as a starter was really good! It came hot and with browned butter. My wife had the filet mignon with a baked potato, all steaks came with asparagus and beets. It was good but not overwhelming. My rib eye was definitely more flavourful than her's, but after a few bites the saltiness of the rib eye hit me and it became a chore to finish it. After every bite I had to drink water. I'm not sure if a rib eye is supposed to be like this, or if they over-salted it, but i don't think I would come back here for this reason.

    Was happy to see live music in the restaurant. The artist was very talented and it was a perfect addition to my friends birthday dinner. Great service be Danielle. Such a pro. The food was delicious all arround too. Everyone was so happy.
