Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. Very fresh, delicious food. Recommend the scallops appetizer, set on a bed of mashed potatoes - melts in your mouth. Meatballs, any appetizer with eggplant. pear, radicchio and walnut salad makes you forget it's winter. The lamb chops are extraordinary and of a quality only a restaurant can get. Black cod Livorno - luscious!! Palma's pastry chef is exceptional - you can taste the actual ingredients without being overwhelmed by the sugar. Attentive, but not intrusive, staff. Charming, romantic setting, with fresh flowers everywhere!!

Amazing food, great ambiance. Highly recommend the big eye tuna tarts, yellowtail sashimi, and grilled wagyu skirt steak (cooked a perfect med rare and MELTS in your mouth). 10/10 all around
