From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. From the bonds staff made during countless summer seasons, to the engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and family gatherings, Pates has been a backdrop for exceptional moments and people. We are honored to steward the next chapter of the Pates journey. A renovated space to create new memories and friends, Pates is still that very special place. With careful consideration, we have redefined this Chatham classic and are serving up an experience rooted in the best things in life: great food, good people, and lifelong memories.

Embargo is open and is the place to be on Cape Cod, featuring a chic and sophisticated atmosphere with amazing food and handcrafted cocktails. Our menu features dry aged steaks cooked to perfection, mouth watering tapas, and of course, fresh local seafood. Each meal becomes an event when shared with friends and family!PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, we do not guarantee reservations for outdoor patio seating. Tables are sat on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a reservation and request outdoor seating, you may endure a brief waiting period. All reservations are held for 10 minutes and will be considered cancelled without a phone call. Please also note we only take reservations for dining tables only.

Alberto's Ristorante was established in 1984 at which time, Northern Italian cuisine and fresh homemade pasta were introduced to Cape Cod for the first time. Since then, we have continued this tradition of all fresh ingredients and in-house preparation of every course from the soups to the desserts.Our reputation for casual elegance arises from our emphasis on decor, service, the pride we take in food preparation, and our affordability. Our steaks are freshly-cut every day.The Chatham Cut does NOT use pre-packaged previously cut pre-weighed plastic-wrapped meat, or cook our steaks using the "Sous Vide," method as many other non-specialist restaurants do. Every "Cut," is fresh, which offers the special flavor profile our guests have searched for.Our offerings are prepared in the true steakhouse old-world tradition. Side options are also steakhouse traditional, with fresh vegetables as well as loaded baked potatoes.For those who love seafood, we offer our oysters, sourced from within walking distance and many exciting spins on traditional offerings. The Roscommon Room is the coolest experience for Lunch and Dinner at Ocean Edge Resort located behind The Mansion overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Guests and patrons alike are invited to book a table inside the restaurant for traditional a-la-carte dining that will allow you to enjoy wintry cocktails with an assortment of seasonal starters and entrees from lobster poutine to butternut squash risotto.     Had high expectations and arrived early, which the restaurant was able to accommodate. The service staff was friendly and attentive, but the drink service was disappointingly slow. Our first round took 15 minutes, and we ended up canceling our after-dinner drinks because the wait was too long. The food was good, but not great. Overall, a decent experience, but the slow drink service took away from it.

    We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last night and as always everything was wonderful! Pate’s is definitely our favorite restaurant! Thanks everyone for making our evening special!

    Delicious Valentines dinner. Waitress Theodora was amazing. Portions are large and cocktails were outstanding. No rush to order and enjoyed our time. Would go back again. Have also dined there with a larger group and had a similar wonderful experience. North End food on the Cape. Highly recommend!
