Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023. Always reliable. Elegant, good service, and depending on what your order good food. I love how I can always find a table and make guests from out of town happy. The appetizers are the stars of the menu and you could do just fine without any main dishes.

Trully gastronomic and chic ambiance, even though no dress code is required. Very nice place for couples and romance. Healthy and tasty! Lots of non-alcoolic beverages (includig non-alcoolic wine and mocktails )

We have eaten at PLANTA multiple times and have always found it to be superb. We have also taken non-vegans there many times with fabulous results. We ate at the Bethesda location this past weekend with some long-term friends who wanted to try an all vegan restaurant. They could not stop glowing about it. We ordered multiple things off of each part of the menu and shared all of them. Each item was given a five star review which could be expected in my opinion. I really want to take them back for the brunch though because I cannot get that French toast out of my head.
