Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. I had another fantastic experience at Cafe Colline! As always, the service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Our server was attentive and super sweet, making our visit even more enjoyable. I took a friend there to celebrate her birthday, and she loved it just as much as I do. I’ll definitely keep returning and highly recommend this charming spot to anyone looking for a great meal and a warm, welcoming environment!

The tasting menu with the wine pairing was creative and delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and paced the offers of assistance perfectly. She also had a delightful personality. This is a must-try dining experience.

We greatly appreciated the consideration of the staff. The walk to our table for two, both of us elderly and using canes, was difficult. The young host was apologetic and, unbidden, took the price of our soft drinks off the bill. We waited a bit long for our meals, but to be fair, it appeared that many dinners arrived at once. The food, a smash burger, and the salmon en croute, was very good.

Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!
