Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele. Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Lilac is a modern Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef and California native, John Fraser.     We had a great experience tonight. We had somebody celebrating their birthday and they made it very special with complementary champagne, toast, a birthday card and even a special birthday menu. I would highly recommend on Swan for a romantic and comfortable ambience.

    Our first visit to Ulele. We were celebrating our anniversary. Service was attentive and helpful. We LOVED the chili and the jalepeno corn muffins!! I had a wonderful entree of Grouper and my husband ordered meatloaf. His meatloaf was barely warm and was the one downside to the meal. Overall, a good experience and a lovely location in Tampa.

    Cozy Ybor restaurant. Nice holiday touches. Tapas and dessert were good. Dumplings needed some extra to give it pizzaz. Chocolate mousse tasty. Chef/owner visited the table, nice guy.

    Driftlight is the unsung hero of Channelside area restaurants. Having the quality of a good steakhouse, this restaurant is on the first floor of the JW Marriott. Less expensive than some of the area’s other fine dining establishments, we still hope that as our economy improves, we’ll see some dining cost reductions. But in the meantime, we love Driftlight and the great staff. We’ll be back soon!
