République, located in Miracle Mile, is owned by Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur. The space features a casual bakery, café, and bar in the front with a more formal dining area located in the rear, serving a French-inspired menu created daily by our chefs.

A truly unique dining and cocktail experience nestled below the main level of the historic Pershing Square Building, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The restaurant charges a 20% auto-gratuity on all food and beverage items for parties and groups of 6 or larger. The Formosa Cafe is a restaurant and bar founded in 1939 and located at 7156 Santa Monica Boulevard at the intersection with North Formosa Avenue, in West Hollywood, California.The restaurant has a long history of movie star and film industry patronage due to its close proximity to studio lot across the street, which began as the United Artists lot and was later owned by Warner Bros. Traxx Restaurant and Traxx Bar are located inside beautiful, historic Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles. We are a semi-fine dining restaurant with a casual attitude and relaxed atmosphere. Our restaurant serves scratch made American Bistro dishes using local a local bakery and local ingredients. We offer seating on our concourse (located in front of the restaurant inside Union Station), the Dining Room, and on our outside Patio in the courtyard. We also serve Traxx Bar, located across the concourse inside Union Station at the main entrance. Traxx Bar hours are M-F 11:30-10pm with kitchen hours until 8pm and Sat & Sun 12-10pm with kitchen hours until 7pm.

    Dined last night for our anniversary and was provided a lovely card (upon arrival) and brownie a la mode after our meal. Terry was our waiter for the evening. He was attentive, honest, and provided helpful recommendations. My partner got the 12 oz filet and I chose the branzino. Only comment is that the sauce on the fish was bland. It needed more taste.

    The service was exceptional. Everyone was so nice and the food was really delicious! The only reason for knocking off 1 star was because both dishes that I had ordered were a little spicy. It was spice that I could handle but I wasn’t expecting it so I wished that the waiter made that known so I could have picked a different item. Overall the duck confit and short rib has were still really good and would order again.

    Always a wonderful experience. Food and services are exceptional. I travel to LA on business frequently and they make me feel welcome as a solo diner. There is always a warm welcome by the entire team and my preferences are remembered.
