Owners Gary Butera, Martin &Laurie Butera, Nick Zografos & David Novak have provided cool green & white panels, brick, subway tile, marble and original artwork. The decor adds a sleek industrial edge to compliment the tone in the casual, comfortable dining room & spacious bar. Garage doors bring the “outside” in to add to the open, airy industrial look. The Butera’s kitchen, since it’s inception in Massapequa 1991 to present day Bay Shore , has and still does offer traditional rustic Italian cuisine with a modern flair alongside unique specials showcasing authentic ingredients and locally sourced products.The Butera’s family relishes the opportunity to begin a new chapter in Bay Shore, and wants nothing more than to serve and delight the community for years to come.

A little history on our namesake: The Linwood Hotel: John B. Pullis established the Linwood Hotel in about 1888. Located on the Southeast corner of South Clinton Avenue and Linden Place, the Linwood Hotel temporarily housed WW1 Navy flyers from the Bay Shore Aero Station while their barracks were being constructed. The Linwood was destroyed by fire on October 11, 1925.

Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. My friend and I meet here twice a year to celebrate our birthdays as it's equidistant from our homes west and east of there. The clam chowder with mushrooms was delicious, as was the Parisian salad - both of which I ordered. My friend ordered the vegetable soup terrine and a hamburger with fries. The only complaint was the burger was not medium rare as she had ordered it, but medium. She only ate 1/2 of it. The french fries here are out of this world delicious. We only enjoyed coffee as our dessert, which was very good. Service was excellent, just enough attention paid to us, and food arrived quickly.

This was our first night out after the birth of our 9 month old and the staff, food quality, and atmosphere was on point and what we needed. The service was fast but also allowed us time to enjoy. Would highly recommend and return.

I had a great experience at Butera’s. They were great with changing my reservation last minute and being flexible for accommodations. The food came out super quick and staff was readily available to help. This might be one of the best meals I have had out dinning.
