What started as a food truck concept in 2019 then became a beachside bistro in 2021. The Federal, located just a short block from the famed Rehoboth Beach boardwalk has become a full-service, beach casual, fine-dining bistro. The demure restaurant now hosts the two concepts in one space - you can enjoy fritters before dinner, for a happy hour snack, or go for a boardwalk stroll. Federal Fritter menu features a variety of crisp, poppable & snackable fritters, while The Federal menu expands on a way of eating that best defines Todd & Ellen's culinary style, the menu reads like a postcard from the Mid-Atlantic.     Best food we've had in the OC, Bethany, Rehobeth area. Seafood was very fresh and each dish was thoughtfully crafted. The scallops and swordfish were delish. Oysters were some of th best. Cocktails were strong but yummy. Looking forward to coming back this summer.

    An excellent dining experience. Menu has a variety of options, all of which are delightful. Waitress had asked if there were any food allergies (which there are) and was very diligent in making sure we were taken care of. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience!

    Celebrated Valentine’s Day at Shorebreak and we were so glad we did! Everything about the evening was great, from the gracious welcome we received from owners Diane and Ben, to our cozy table in the front corner of the main dining room, the excellent service provided by superstar server Kara (one of the best ever!) and, of course, the wonderful food. A perfect evening! We will be back. Thank you so much.

    This is our 2nd time experiencing Blue Moon, 1st was wife’s BD couple years ago. Blue Moon continues to offer a great experience from welcoming host to friendly and attentive waitress that served us. Crab bisque was hot and delicious. Entrees of stuff shrimp and swordfish was excellent. We were too full to enjoy deserts. Would definitely recommend…
