Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. Some highlights of the menu are Veal Chop Milanese, Veal Shank Osso Bucco, Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu, various classic Rissotto preparations, and for dessert options like Panna Cotta, Homemade Tiramisu and Tuscan Ricotta Cheesecake round out the menu.

Fantastic as ever in every way. Delicious gluten free and vegetarian options and they ask if you need “no contact” with anything with gluten in preparing the gluten free food. I’ve loved this place for decades and it is still popping!

It’s crazy to think there are only three of these restaurants left in the world. We used to go to the Oak Brook location but now we finally got to visit the one in Chicago. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that this was the original one. It’s a classic French bistro fare with amazing servers and food. I highly recommend the steak and frites! make sure to get your reservation early because we had to dine at 4:45 PM due to later dinner times not being available
