Curated by Aaron Taylor, Atlas Restaurant Group’s Corporate Chef & Chef Partner in this concept, the menu puts steak in the spotlight with over 11 cuts from Chicago-based meat purveyor Meats by Linz. The Ruxton will serve a mix of wet and dry aged prime cuts of Black Angus Beef, as well as dry aging Long Island Duck and Bison from Virginia’s New Frontier Farm in-house. To complement the steak options, seasonal shellfish and seafood entrees will be available including dover sole, Maryland rockfish, whole live lobster, king salmon, Chilean sea bass and more.The Ruxton will serve lunch every weekday and dinner 7 days a week. We were staying at an airport hotel overnight and needed a good dinner. What we found was this spectacular jewel of a restaurant! Our party of 4 tried the crab cakes (DELICIOUS) the mushroom soup (hearty and hit the spot on this chilly evening) the Rock Fish special (YUM) the demonico steak (tender and perfectly prepared) the Elk Osso Bucco with paparadelli (unusual and tasty!) and the lamb shank (fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned). The chef visited our table to check on us (smiles all around) the waitstaff was attentive without being annoying. The classical music in the background was quiet and soothing and set the atmosphere for a perfect dinner out. We felt as if we were dining in the home of an experienced host. Incredibly rare to find this kind of intimacy and hospitality these days!

Ruxton's was fantastic. I had the Bone-in-Delmonico steak, cooked to a PERFECT medium, with truffle butter as an accoutrement, I could not be more satisfied with my choice. I have eaten at plenty of steak houses on par with Ruxton's, but my meal at Ruxton's was as good as the very best of them, if not better. I would recommend Ruxton's to anyone as a top notch dining experience!

As always the food was great ,the service lacked which is not David’s norm. The manager came a met with us and was receptive to the issues of the evening. We will certainly return. Just was not what we expected.
