Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. There's hardly a seat in the house that does not offer a spectacular view of the Hudson river. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Try the classic menu standards of steak frites, moules frites, country terrine, and the Red Hat burger. Seasonal salads, sandwiches, and seafood entrees round out the menu.     What a wonderful experience. Staff was wonderful and the food really blew me away. The freshness and explosion of flavors puts them in my top 5 places to eat on the Hudson. GO! You will not be sorry.

    I was here for Valentine’s dinner, my reservation was for 6:45 got there 6:40 and was sealed immediately. The waitress was very attentive. The food quality was very good, from appetizers to dessert. It was a little pricey but didn’t mind because service, food quality and ambiance were all good.

    We had a wonderful meal at The Park. The wedge salad was large and delicious. As were the scallops and sirloin. Coffee topped off the night with a warm chocolate cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Looking forward to going back again for our next celebration dinner!

    We have dined at Hudson Social many times over the past several years. It is consistently very good quality gastro pub food with a great atmosphere and very friendly accommodating staff. It is located in a restored early 20th century train station building at the Metro North station along the Hudson River. Cozy and comfortable in winter and great outdoor dining in warmer months with views of the Hudson for an affordable price and often live music. Highly recommend this restaurant.
