Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. Designed by Rockwell Group, TAO Downtown offers a distinct sense of arrival and discovery and is the first TAO venue where guests descend into a multi-level space. The subterranean restaurant, located in the heart of Chelsea, is intended to look and feel as if it has been there for decades and only unearthed recently to reveal the artifacts within. Excellent experience beginning to end. The waitress was kind and attentive, and so was the staff that visited in between. The food and dessert was fresh and tasted amazing. Prices were fair for the size portions that were received. We had a great date night / bday celebration.

We have been to Knickerbocker before, and specifically selected it again for our latest visit to NYC. As usual, the food was great and we especially enjoyed the jazz being played at just the right level for both enjoyment and good conversation. Keep up the good work, Knick!

We came here for a date before going to the NY comedy club for a show. The hostess was very warm and welcoming, the waitress we had was super bubbly and nice. She came to the table often checking if we had water and if we needed anything. At the end she even offered us desert on the house which was amazing and delicious. I had the smoked burger which tasted amazing and my wife had the brick chicken which was so soft and juicy. Overall great experience, lovely staff, tasty food.
