The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. This includes a specialty cocktail menu with different seasonal ingredients along with a fresh mocktail menu.     Our server was awesome. She was attentive and very nice. The home made soup was delicious! We had chili and cream of mushroom soup. The atmosphere was warm and the background live music excellent!

    I went on Valentine’s Day. I arrived earlier than my reservation and had a short wait to be seated. Once seated the waiter was very pleasant. We ordered the prime rib and the crab cake and it was very delicious. We will return.

    With the exception of the chargrilled oysters and the "bearnaise" sauce, our meals (Filet Mignon and Prime Rib) were excellent. What standed out as Exceptional was the service.....our server, Carly (?) and our Assistant Manager (?) Alex exemplified what great customer service should be.....very impressive! We will certainly be back!

    Great experience overall. Our waitress was amazing! Food was great- except the Coconut Crab soup. Best calamari ever. Nice recognition of my son for his birthday. A little disappointed that after I ordered the Branzino, I was told a while later that it was all frozen and could not be ready for one hour. Ambience was nice. Been here several times, this was an improvement from before- would definitely return.
