We are an eclectic Los Angeles restaurant, located in Koreatown, heralded for its creativity and genre-defying cuisine. Their first restaurant together, owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened Here's Looking At You in 2016. Named a "Restaurant of the Year" by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National's "38 Most Essential Restaurants," HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh's "Becoming a Restaurateur."     My family came to visit me from New Jersey and they loved it. We got there around 6 ish. It’s fairly on the quiet side but that changes shortly. The food,service and entertainment were great. They talked about it all the way to their hotel. I love this place!

    The Rose has become one of our favorite places to go from the greeting, warm and inviting, (especially if you’re lucky to be greeted by Elliott), to the wait service that continues the positive attitude that makes you feel like family. The meal choices are so varied that all tastes can be satisfied. The food is truly delicious and presented in an appetizing way. The the home made desserts are not to be skipped!

    The compliments start with the waitstaff, led by Nasisco? (He’s such a pro and been there so long, his name tag is wore in!). They were incredible. Ready at a moments notice, yet never obtrusive. It was an absolute pleasure. The food was wonderful! Can’t wait to get back…thanks a special place with a special staff.

    We had a delicious dinner at the nicest table by the windows. The menu is very well done with the small to large portions which was perfect as my guests were very full from a large lunch. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and my guests visiting from the UK were so impressed with the delicious items we ordered. The crab cake, oxtail dumplings, cauliflower and ricotta gnocchi were all very good. Definitely recommend this spot and will be back again.
