Portland's Oven and Shaker is a popular dining destination for locals and visitors who crave artisan pizzas and unique bar drinks served in a warm and inviting setting. The nettle pesto arancino rice ball made with parmesan risotto and mushrooms and the fried calamari and octopus fritto misto with lemon and honey make stunning starters.     Probably the best food and cocktails in Portland. That is saying a lot. Gorgeous ambiance and very good service. Highly recommend the lychee martini and scallops. Creative, high level flavors and presentations. Only dings are the menu on QR codes or flimsy unreadable paper. So, phone lights going on all over the tables. Also, the corkage fees exceed NYC, ($120 for 2 bottles) so we passed on our favorite bottles saved for birthday celebration from home cellar.

    Each dish was creatively designed, thoughtfully executed and presented in a way that made sense from an aesthetic standpoint in addition to functionality around which would be individually plated vs family style. The space was cozy but not cramped and a portable speaker in the restroom creates a vibe for anyone using the facilities. 10/10, no notes.

    Went for Machette’s winter residential stay at OK Omens. Food was delicious. Wine was wonderful. Good ambience. Friendly staff. Enjoyable place for a date night or out with friends.

    This restaurant has some of the best food I have had in years. Living in portland past 20 years, I have ate at some of the best places in town over the years and this one ranks in the top five. Amazing taste combinations, lovely presentation and attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back
