Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. I was dining with friends and our kids. The staff was amazing, especially given they had to contend with our energetic kids running around. The food was excellent and the ambiance just what we were looking for.

Our meals and experience were EXCELLENT. My wife's meal of scallops, our guest's salmon and my shrimp/pasta (Diavalo) were WONDERFUL, as were the calamari and drinks we had before they arrived. While the entrance was a crush of people trying to check in and get seated, the atmosphere was lively and comfortable. The Hamilton is always a great experience but this was a first time for my wife and our guest to have dinner there and they loved it! Our server was good and attentive and wasn't a constant shadow to us either. A good time was had by all!

Such an aesthetically cool restaurant, yummy food (the broccoli dish was a surprise star of the night), and we had the most exceptional customer service. I don’t always take servers up on their recommendations; but every rec made was spot on. Enjoyed the food, great ambience and the best energy from our server. Thanks for a great night!

Tater tots appitizer was a big hit. Our group had the Ahi Tuna, Sea Bass, two steaks, and a seafood salad with jumbo shrimp. All were top shelf. Topped it off with the pumpkin cheesecake which was to die for. Great place to have a meal in DC.
