Chocolate Buddha undertook an AMAZING renovation in 2019 by Maddison Architects. We have a 22 seater SUSHI TRAIN open Wednesday to Sunday lunches 12 - 3pm and Wednesday to Saturday Dinners 5 - 8pm it includes an EXPRESS train which delivers hot food ordered via a tablet. We offer QR menus at each table for ease of ordering, splitting bills and menu with pictures and descriptions. This type of ordering is optional so always let us know if you prefer to order with us.     Pretty unusual (for me anyway) dining experience, seeing incredible food prepared right in front of you by a sushi master. Chef Jun made incredible food full of flavor in a very understated way, with beautiful presentation. Chef Takaro was a great sous chef and it was great seeing him work; the torched ika was a highlight I wasn’t expecting. I highly recommend the sake pairings; sommelier Luciano was very well informed and insightful on the origins of the sakes and why they were chosen for certain courses. Highly recommended.

    Delicious Benton boxes had by all our party of 4. The gyoza were crispy and tasty Great wait staff Quick and efficient service Good beer selection Just a bit poor on acoustics. Background noise was hard to chat over. Otherwise highly recommend

    Beautiful venue and the staff were amazing. They were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was terrific and the cocktails were great. We had a really lovely night out. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

    this place makes for a great after work drink or as a fun place for a group to spend the night. the atmosphere is fun and very Osaka inspired and during the summer its a comfortable and chill vibe with great shearing plates and great cocktails.

    The $75 set menu is insane! Such good value for money and everything is delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive, we had Kurtis who was a dream!! Will definitely be coming back !
