Established in 2018, Sidebar is a wine bar and store located in the heart of Sandringham Village. Our ever-changing wine list highlights small local and international producers curated by our very own sommelier. We have won wine list awards in 2021, 2022 and 2023.Our seasonal cocktail list can take you on a journey from start to finish, whether it be the humble Negroni or something a little more unusual. Whether you choose to sit inside our intimate bar setting or in our outdoor space, we have music to suit but not so loud that you cannot initiate a “Sidebar”.

Albert's is a neighbourhood wine bar nestled behind the heritage listed Kings Arcade in the leafy backstreets of Armadale. Our bar is named for the Australian artist, Albert Tucker who once resided in the area and more importantly depicted our beautiful 19th century building in his 1937 landscape.We offer an ever-changing list of exciting wines by authentic small batch producers from all over the world, along with many classic 'non-wine' drinking options. Don’t expect a traditional restaurant menu, our kitchen offers up a variety of smaller, seasonal plates that are designed to share. Order one or two as a snack or combine several to create a more substantial meal.

Our aim is simple: to source, acquire and serve the best wines we can find at any given price point, from Australia and around the world.We believe strongly in the idea that wine should taste like fruit and minerals instead of oak and alcohol. The wines we serve should reflect with great clarity the soil from which they were grown, and the four seasons that passed through that vineyard during a specific vintage.We serve a constantly changing twenty wines by-the-glass, or you can open any bottle straight off the shelf. We believe that wine should represent the place from which it was grown and the four seasons that pass through that place in a given year. We showcase vignerons who grow their fruit in a thoughtful way and who guide that fruit to bottle with the gentlest hand possible. We also serve a seasonal selection of small plates to enjoy with a glass (or two) of wine with cheese and dessert to finish with, as well as classic cocktails, rotating tap beers and a large selection of canned and bottled beer.The front bar has a few private tables as well as shared bar seating, great for enjoying the atmosphere. The courtyard is great on a sunny day and has heaters for the cold ones, and the cabin is home to a roaring fireplace for when it gets really chilly.Whilst reservations are recommended because we fill up quickly, we always keep a few tables aside for walk-ins.

    Carlton wine room is a well oiled machine. A genuine effort to make the dining experience special but still remain approachable and keeping the vibe. Took my partner there last night for her birthday and it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a few years. Well done guys, we’ll be back!

    Great to always visit the "sidebar" where Adults can have a nice drink . Sad that Aiden is heading back to the UK for family reasons big shoes to fill. I love how we can extra drink and catch the bus home ! So drink the Taxi Fare great outcome. We just asked Aidan to bring us wine by the glass within parameters. Six different wines by the glass none of which we were aware but really enjoyed all of them.
