I have had the privilege of eating at a few of the highest rated restaurants in the world. I have never had an experience like i had at Attica last night, it was beyond expectations. The ambience when you walk in is simple, elegant with a little bit of obscurity in the artwork to really make it pop. The service was beyond anything i have experienced in Melbourne it was attentive, polite and friendly, the front of house team want to be there and clearly love what they do and were also incredibly knowledgeable of the food they were serving, more so than most chefs. The food, THE FOOD! Everything was divine! Chefs are masters of flavour balance, every single little item was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was perfectly balanced. Big acid hits to delicate flavours and wonderful, adventurous new flavour profiles to try that just delight your tongue. I will end on the food with this. When a chef cooks you a dish that contains ants, that just might be one of the best things you have ever eaten in your life. It does tend to leave you a little speechless with what you think is possible with food. A particular highlight was the soba noodle prawn dish. I just want to say to the chefs that hands down was the most perfect balance of salt to acid ratio I've ever had and I'll be chasing that dragon for a long time to come. Thanks chefs Let's make no mistake, this is, an expensive experience, however a few things to consider. It takes a mountain of people to do this level of service and the quality of staff it requires for this level of perfection... is worth every cent! Do yourself a favour and and go and enjoy

We had the loveliest waiter (so sorry I didn’t grab your name!) who took such good care of us, was so attentive and funny. The service truly made it but the food was actually gorgeous too! Would 100% come back. Lovely vibe and the friendliest staff who really make it

The vegetarian selection is still utterly rubbish. Why can’t there be one dish that’s actually not terrible or weird combinations. Also the slaw was pure mustard - the schnitzel was super crispy though

Menu needs to be improved. We found more Indian and Sri Lankan Cuisine and this makes it hard for those who do not wish to have such food. An International Buffet needs more variety to cater for Aussies too. :)

Our Open Table reservation had not been noted by the restaurant - so our appearance was a surprise to them. To their credit we were seated rapidly and welcomed. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening. The food was superb! We shared our main courses of Duck & Pea Risotto (heavenly) and a Chicken Salad with Crispy Polenta that was delicious! Can highly recommend this suburban 'find'.
