Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

Not too many places can do as many things well as this particular eatery. If guests just need some premium meat to bring home to cook, the butcher shop has its own entrance at the side of the building where guests can peruse all kinds of cuts of beef, lamb, pork and various kinds of house made sausages and pate. Naturally, Laurelhurst Market's menu focuses on the many fine cuts of meat that are cut on-site as well as farm fresh produce. When we travel from Seattle to Portland we always try to have a dinner at Nostrana, The food is simply prepared and perfect every time we have had dinner. They serve a wide range of people from dating couples to oldsters like us. Drinks and wine also very well chosen and well prepared. Service is attentive. Be sure to get a reservation ! Dr David Celio

Lovely atmosphere with charming servers that make delicious food even better. Evan has been our server for four times now and we are delighted to say that he does not disappoint. With are grateful since we drive from Gresham to dine at Nicoletta’s Table.

Very accommodating to our request for a quiet area because two guest were hearing impaired. Friendly service without hovering. Good food. We will dine there again.
