The Station Tap in Wokingham is the town’s prime destination for sport and late night entertainment. Originally built in 1849 to facilitate the new railway, it has been newly refurbished to become the best pub in town to enjoy a variety of environments from Sky Sports to late night DJ’s.We offer a buzzing atmosphere and a team always willing to go the extra mile. Taking hospitality back to its roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team breathing new life back into the heart of the community. The menu will offer daily, hyper-seasonal specials, and plenty of British game, meat and fish. Executive chef and owner, Jamie Dobbin is passionate about local sourcing and traditional dishes, such as Half dozen Porthilly rock oysters with shallot dressing, Brixham King scallops with burnt butter cauliflower and caviar or Portland hogget Shepherd’s pie with grilled cutlet. Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. Fish is of course wild, sustainable, and British, sourced from day boats on the South coast with the daily catch delivered straight to the door in a matter of hours. There is a handsome bar menu too, and as always, Sunday roasts are a big fixture on the menu every week.

Welcome to The Bull Inn, a traditional, long-standing public house on the road between Wokingham and Arborfield.The pub dates back to at least 1728, before which it was a brew-house for Sparks Farm.It has been a Grade II listed building for more than 40 years. The bar area features a lovely inglenook fireplace, and there are etched glass windows from around that time.Originally, it was The Bull Public House and Smithy, and the forge still remains in the restaurant area, although it hasn't been used since around 1979.The pub was named after the Bullock family, who were Lords of Barkham Manor, which is just across the road.These days, The Bull is a well-known landmark and gathering place, and it maintains the charm of a well kept rural country pub, with fine ales, good food, and welcoming service.The menu features authentic Thai cuisine as well as classic British pub food.The pleasant garden area to the rear is a perfect place to while away summer afternoons and evenings.

At The Crown, we have set out to create a local hub and community. A country pub that the locals are proud to welcome all.The Crown serves simple yet perfectly executed traditional pub food and a crowd-pleasing selection of drinks.At the head of the helm is an Executive Chef Scott Smith, who oversees operations of kitchen at The Crown as well as sister site The Oarsman, Marlow. Scott is an award winning Chef, who gained his extensive cooking skills by working at Michelin starred venues such as Arbutus, Wild Honey in London by Anthony Dimitri and Sugar Boat Scotland.The dishes Scott creates are focused on seasonality, flavour and most importantly ingredients are sourced from local sustainable suppliers.
Here, at Sonning in Berkshire, our hotel and restaurant sits by The Thames, at the point where the river is at its most beautiful.Walk into the cosy bar and you’ll be greeted by a French Horn tradition, the sight of ducks roasting in front of an open fire. Everything is as it should be in this family-owned English institution, run by the Emmanuel family since 1972. Life is good here.Our Head Chef Josiane Diaga and team select the best seasonal ingredients and treat them with respect. Honest, classical dishes are complemented by a carefully curated wine cellar which, for example, features wines from every Burgundy village. Service is impeccable and the dining room one of the prettiest on the Thames.
