Hotpot is one of the most signature Chinese cuisines that has been enjoyed for centuries. It is a communal meal where a pot of simmering broth is placed in the centre of the table, and diners can choose from a wide range of ingredients, such as thinly sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms and noodles to cook in their chosen flavour of the broth. Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho. Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list. Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Simmer Huang launched on the market in 2004. The main feature of its dish is to apply the traditional cooking method of ‘simmering’ to modern catering. It is cooked completely by the water of the food itself, without adding water to the pot. The main feature of the restaurant is to advocate a standardized Chinese food model of ‘no chef, no smoke, and no repeated use of ingredients’.
Our chef Zhao is bringing his abundance of cooking experience and expertise to Meeting Noodles. He is a master of Cantonese cuisine and Sichuan cuisine. He has worked as an executive chef in many five-star hotels for many years in China and won a gold medal in the first China Hotel Service System Cooking Competition in 2005 and also won the title of "Top Ten Executive Chef" in the Northeast Region of China.
