The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year. Outdoor patio dining and fireside dining are available in season.The restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily, as well as a special breakfast/lunch a la carte menu offered on Saturdays from 11 am to 4pm. Sunday 11am to 3 pm.

Full-Service indoor dining is offered in our dining rooms and bar from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 10 pm and Sunday, 11 am - 9 pm. Our tent is open for regular dining, Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 10 pm and Sunday, 11 am - 9 pm. The tent remains a perfect spot for groups and families. Reservations are recommended for both dining options. Please note, all parties must be seated within 15 minutes of the reservation time.Remember takeout is a great option! Walking up the front steps you hear the creak of the original floor boards, and as you enter through the large Colonial doors you may find yourself twisting the old fashioned hand crank doorbell.
