Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     We did a tasting menu put together by the restaurant after we told them what we like and which dishes we were interested in. Wonderful service, and wow all the food was so good, we tried the tuna, fried squash, speck pizza, Brussels sprouts (those last two were our favourites!), the steak and the 100 layer lasagna was extra delicious!

    This happening stylish bistro is worth visiting. Ambience is cozy and food and service were top notch. Nice variety of small and main plates to share and enjoy. Wedge salad is a must to try and the complimentary cheddar brioche was a nice (& delicious) start to our meal.

    My husband and I went there for our wedding anniversary and the service was amazing. From the hostess to the waiter they were all so attentive and kind. I loved that it was freezing in the restaurant. The food did take a little time to come out but everything was delicious. The truffle fries were amazing! My steak was a little more cooked for my liking (I asked for medium) but it was still delicious. All in all I would definitely come here again!

    Another extraordinary meal. Appreciated the warm welcome and attentive professional service provided by Harshit, the manager of Roses. They always go above and beyond. The suggested grilled salmon was cooked to perfection and the sides precisely prepared to make for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend.
