It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Our team has worked hard to connect to our community, and we value our customers. These values have been central to Ellen and Linwood’s vision, and we hope are felt by our customers each day.

We will do the rest!Outdoor seating is currently available but not guaranteed. In the event of inclement weather, incoming reservations will be seated on a first come - first serve basis. Tables currently sitting will be allowed to move to another table if possible, but tables themselves cannot be moved under any circumstance. We have limited space under cover and cannot accommodate every one to be out of the weather. If you have already ordered food and choose not to stay you will be given boxes to go.

    The food, service and presentation was fantastic and made for a wonderful experience. My only reservation was the dinning area felt a bit congested, and as a result, felt a bit confined and challenging to hear at times. This aspect was unfortunate to an otherwise great experience.

    I went on Valentine’s Day. I arrived earlier than my reservation and had a short wait to be seated. Once seated the waiter was very pleasant. We ordered the prime rib and the crab cake and it was very delicious. We will return.

    First time diners…very impressive restaurant! Food was very good and the staff were very attentive and the waiter was great always checking in with us! We were there for Valentines Day and were very happy and treated like we were the only ones there…no rush. Happy with our experience and will definitely make reservations again there! A+

    We really enjoyed our experience at Linwoods. The food and the service were outstanding. We went for Valentine’s Day and the atmosphere was fantastic!! The restaurant was crowded but they handled it real well and made our night very special 😊
