Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). Loved the first experience at Blacklock :) The bone marrow was lovely, a great ambience in the restaurant. Quite lively. The Blacklock fillet was perfectly cooked, despite being a little too salty which we thought was unusual, but we had a lovely meal nonetheless... Great cocktails too!!! We will definitely return to try other cuts of the steak :)

Literally have zero faults with Blacklock. I’ve been coming here for years and I will continue to do so. Food, drink, service - all are phenomenal. It’s amazing that you can get so much good food at fairly reasonable prices that comes with some of the best service you’ll experience. 1000% coming back for more rounds of the All In and Cheesecake!

The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was finding the place. Even though the entrance is just to the left when you leave Westfield, it's not so obvious.
