“A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. They serve an array of fresh seafood as well as yummy beer from a local brewery and cocktails. The live band plays throughout the night with a few breaks. After 10 PM they clear all tables and chairs to create a dance floor and this place then really starts to rock! We don't do vegan or vegetarian food. We specialize in fish. The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. Expect plenty of fresh seafood; oysters, langoustine and the signature seafood platters - alongside a comprehensive yet affordable wine list. As well as dining inside the main "house", there are seats outside in the semi-open courtyard, and also in the prime spot of streetside on Fulham Road. Very tasty and well-presented food, but glad we didn’t order as much as we were advised we would need. All served at good intervals and there was no rush on the return of the table. We all agreed the wine was very expensive so we chose the house white, which was disappointingly thin and served from an unmarked and open bottle. (Needs to be more choice at the under £50 a bottle end!)

Always magic. The oysters are exceptional - the best you’ll eat. No doubt. I can’t see how anyone would be even mildly disappointed with this little gem. Wonderful stuff.

Food was exceptional - every course was brilliant with an excellent lobster ravioli in a well judged lightly spicy broth. Main course of cod with ceariac purée was exemplary. The carrot cake pre dessert was an innovative trifle style dessert and was fantastic. The somellier was great - wines by the glass and from the Coravin were top notch. A beautiful relaxed meal.
