Llerena takes its name from a little village in Extremadura, southwest Spain, where four generations of our family has raised Iberian pigs since 1939, producing authentic "Bellota" jamón ibérico, chorizo and other pork delicacies. Our family created a business around the farm called Jamón y Salud to sell our gourmet products and has now brought this exquisite taste of Spain to Islington with the Llerena Ibérico Tapas Bar. Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? Absolutely fabulous. Best tapas and sparkling sangria that we have had outside Spain. Serving staff were friendly, chatty and thoroughly deserving of high praise and a generous tip.

Food was excellent especially starters and steak. One recommendation - on the Sunday roast please include something fresh or pickled. It all was very rich and it could have done with something to cut through. Fantastic experience though and will be back!
