Kintan is the first authentic Japanese style yakiniku in London. Yakiniku is a Japanese term that literally translates to “grilled meat.” It has a long-standing history and a strong presence in Japanese cuisine. Our restaurant features a built-in smokeless roaster at each table which enables fun and interactive dining where our guests become the chefs.

Flesh & Buns Covent Garden, from the team behind Bone Daddies and Shackfuyu, is located within the bustling Seven Dials area in Covent Garden. Inspired by Japanese izakayas, roughly translated as a pub or place designed for informal eating and drinking, Flesh & Buns is the first restaurant in London to specialise in gua bao buns (DIY filled steamed buns). Below street-level, the restaurant has a bar area offering bar dining for up to 10 people, serving a variety of sake brands and a diverse range of cocktails including the signature Frozen Yuzu Margarita, alongside the restaurant’s varied sharing food menu.     The food was delicious, the service friendly and the s’mores came with a sparkler because it was my birthday :-) the tables were quite close together and it was moderately noisy because it had lots of people in, but we loved the bustling atmosphere.

    Had a really enjoyable lunch here today. Delicious food and would definitely recommend. Having lived in Japan, I would say this is some of the best food out of the country that I’ve had in a very chilled atmosphere.

    Start to our Christmas celebrations, four best friends together we had fun, laughter and joy being together! This place is absolutely amazing and the icing on the cake as they say was the saxophone player, such beautiful music, the dancer was so talented and lastly the drum player he was so good and made sure her walked round near all the diners and was so friendly:) All your staff are very professional, friendly and helpful! Thank you we will be back in the new year.

    The service was impeccable, the meats were well seasoned and had a lot of flavour. The fries had the perfect amount of salt. There was a lot of variety of meats and different Japanese food. The bimbap was delicious. I told them that it was my frie as birthday and they made her a little red velvet cake to celebrate.
