A few short steps from the British Museum, The Blue Door Bistro provides a welcoming and informal bistro-style setting. Light and airy at lunchtime, warm and cosy by evening, the room is decorated on three sides with a panoramic view of London circa 1849. Together with the rich mahogany panelled walls, effective use of mirrored glass, and contemporary wrought iron wall lights, an ambience rooted in the hotel’s location is beautifully achieved. Executive chef, Martin Halls, blends seasonal ingredients and herbs from our garden with classical techniques to create seasonal British menus. The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. We are a natural wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Soho - we change our menu weekly and cook with the seasons using the best ingredients the season has to offer. Our menu is an eclectic array of dishes that we're either in the mood to eat or that take inspiration from a dish we've enjoyed somewhere along our journey. Excellent restaurant with its iconic and beautiful stained glass windows. Had the twice baked cheese soufflé as my starter and it was absolutely perfect. The Ivy chocolate bombe was another highlight. We were both vegetarian and thought the options were decent (vegetarian mains were not amazing but fine and could be better for the price as they were basically priced similarly to the meat dishes) Service mainly great though the doorman was generally nowhere to be seen which was a shame when we arrived and left. But altogether a lovely restaurant.

A pleasant late lunch with friends, we chose this restaurant as it seemed to be a relaxing quiet environment in lovely surroundings which it certainly lived up to We were hoping to book the fixed price lunch menu but this seemed very difficult through the one table app so ended up with the a la carte which was fine, generally enjoyed by all

Just a really lovely place. All staff exceptional especially the Maitre d and Edward the Sommelier. We really enjoyed all the food, just perfectly judged spices and loads of choice even on the lunch menu. Wines chosen for each course were outstanding and Edward was a mine of useful information.
