Margaux is a modern European restaurant/wine bar. The French/Italian inspired menu includes seared foie gras, house made pork terrine, porcini risotto for appetisers and seared scallops, grilled veal rib and Barolo braised beef as some of the main courses. 100 bin wine list covers a broad range of producers and grapes, with an emphasis on old world wines. Introducing Cornus, a rooftop space in Belgravia, the second restaurant from David O’Connor and Joe Mercer-Nairne of the acclaimed Chelsea restaurant, Medlar. Chef Gary Foulkes will lead the kitchen, joining from the Michelin-starred Angler to offer a regularly changing menu. Foulkes will lead the kitchen, combining his ingredient-led approach with flavours and techniques encountered on his travels around the world. Foulkes will create an à la carte menu of creative, elevated dishes, grounded in the traditional principles and techniques of French cuisine. The menu will showcase the best of the British and European larder. David will lead the Front of House team alongside Wine Director Melania Battiston.

    This was probably the greatest culinary experience of my life. Managed to get a booking for the Valentine’s Day meal. Not just were the hosts incredibly hospitable but incredibly attentive. The highlights of the menu were almost the entire thing. Both desserts were sublime, the TFC, caviar gougère and roast chicken were amazing. I’ve never seen a scallop as big in my life and for the duck course the main star of that dish in my opinion was the morels. We were put on the chefs table which was like looking into a finely tuned, well oiled machine. There is an almost 100 percent chance I’ll be back in the future.

    We had a lovely Valentine’s evening at the German Gymnasium. Service was excellent, food was marvellous. We did not opt for the Valentines menu as it felt too restrictive as we had the normal menu.

    Once again, absolutely *_outstanding food_*, wonderfully professional, friendly but never over-attentive service, the quiet hum of conversation, excellent wine list: nothing to fault! As if that's not enough, we'd mentioned when booking that it was our wedding anniversary and they had a Happy Anniversary card for us, signed by all the staff: we were very touched by this, definitely above and beyond the usual restaurant welcome!!! It added a special touch to the evening - thank you so much! WE look forward very much to our next visit...

    We always have a great time at Lore, the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome even though they are rushing about they still take the time to talk to you, food is outstanding and the service is amazing, booked in for Sunday roast in June and December.
