On the doorstep of the bustling Borough Market, the first Casa do Frango lies within a converted 19th-century industrial warehouse, a building full of character, complete with vaulted ceilings, arched windows and relics of the past. Casa’s menu is inspired by the rich culinary history of Portugal and the wider Mediterranean. True to Portuguese tradition, there is an emphasis on cooking over a wood-charcoal grill. The restaurant has become known for piri-piri chicken, with perfectly caramelised skin and a deep flavour which comes from a brush of Casa’s secret piri-piri blend. Opened in 1972, it has long been the epitome of the family run Indian restaurant. Having undergone several improvements over the years, Sheba is contemporary and smart, decorated in a fiery red with Bollywood movies playing on the big screen. A host of awards and accolades are proof of Sheba’s ability to produce what is widely accepted to be the best Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani cuisine on Brick Lane, with connoisseurs returning time and again to sample fine vegetarian, meat and indeed seafood dishes. Great food a bit pricy but it was delicious. This was our second time but this time I decided to order a dessert which tasted nice but it didn’t look nothing like what was advertised on social media. I ordered cigar which didn’t even look like one it was literally a chocolate roll with no Oreo crumbs £11 for that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise everything was good.

Service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We had the Sunday roast £25 offer which was good value for money and very tasty. The jazz singer was lovely too. The only thing is it gets incredibly noisy because of the high ceilings and industrial design. Would recommend though because of service and food.
