Both good food and good service. Saw both a number of large groups as well as singles eating there. Nice atmosphere. I would not hesitate to go back there for dinner again.

After the dire restaurant review Cornus had a few weeks ago I would like to say what a wonderful experience my friend and myself had yesterday. The staff were lovely, very engaging and helpful. We had the a la carte menu and it was delicious, a lovely choice as well. Many little tasters to start and everything beautiful presented. A good selection of wine by the glass as we did not want a bottle. Cornus has a lovely ambiance and is certainly somewhere I would go again. motto, be your own judge of a restaurant and do not rely on restaurant critics.

Great food, friendly and professional service, and a lovely, relaxed feel. We sat outside in the spring sunshine, soaking up the peace and quiet of the Common. Both diners had the burgers which were substantial and delicious, especially with the chunky hand-carved chips. For pudding, we had the creme brule and the apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla custard - both were presented beautifully and in exactly the right proportions - not too big nor too small. We were both driving, so unable to take advantage of the tempting wines.

Outstanding. Food exceptional, fresh and creative. Service excellent. Very pleasant quiet art deco room inside boutique hotel.

The live music duo (Tom & Lloren) who currently perform every Monday night were amazing, the food was excellent, tender tasty fillet steak with lovely side orders was my choice, and the desserts went down well too
