Built in 1839 on an old archery range, this pub quickly became a cherished neighbourhood meeting spot and was frequented by notable locals throughout its history, from Winston Churchill to Tony Blair.To honour the historical roots of the establishment, offer our take on the quintessential British gastro pub.     It is a fabulous, airy, light venue - the menu has plenty for all, and the prices allow regular visits or treats - we sat at the bar, looked after by some wonderful people, a tall handsome gent with a magnetic smile and a personality to match his stature plus a petit lady who makes a mean cocktail short on ice if ice is not your thing - do go, but leave space for me please x

    We had a dinner booked for 7.30pm they were running late with service but I have to say we hardly noticed the pub had an amazing atmosphere the staff are very attentive and apologetic, they took a drinks round off the bill for the long wait. The food was amazing I had the monk fish tail and my husband had the pork loin absolutely delicious. You must try the beef fat popcorn omg it’s very tasty they should sell bags of this loved it. We will definitely e back can’t wait to sample the Sunday dinner.

    Had a lovely early Supper at Scott’s. Very attentive service and plenty of staff. Very good wine list and excellent food. Haven’t been for many years but will definitely visit again soon.

    Very friendly welcome and staff. Was dining on my own so was lovely to sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere and chat to the lovely bar lady. Fish pie and the side of brocolli were absolutely delicious. I look forward to going back sometime soon.
