Modern in its minimalist use of colour and clean lines, the new So Restaurant near Spitalfields market and Liverpool street station is every bit the contemporary Japanese restaurant. The airy ground floor dining area is a unique mixture of wooden furniture and Yatai bar (Japanese food stall style) tables, and calming greens, creating a warm welcoming atmosphere. Head chef Zu Tanaka's dishes are creative without being fussy, introducing upgraded homely Japanese dishes as well as much loved Japanese dishes with a SO twist. Our first time visiting Sticks’n’Sushi during a weekend away and we thoroughly enjoyed. Just a shame there isn’t a restaurant closer to our home.
