The owner, Fons de Visscher was a respected fishmonger for 27 years in Helmond; a small city in the Netherlands, when he decided to start a new adventure. “A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. Food was exceptional - every course was brilliant with an excellent lobster ravioli in a well judged lightly spicy broth. Main course of cod with ceariac purée was exemplary. The carrot cake pre dessert was an innovative trifle style dessert and was fantastic. The somellier was great - wines by the glass and from the Coravin were top notch. A beautiful relaxed meal.
