I grew up in Delhi when I was a child - the smells and sights of the street food markets there were simply staggering. A new scent was drifting across the air from every direction; everywhere was glowing and vibrant, and people all around were eating and chattering away.Delhi is a melting pot of lots of different people from all over India. And so the street food in Delhi is an amalgamation of many different cooking styles from around the country, with some influences from western cuisine thrown in for good measure. Food overall was good. The Welsh rarebit for starters was good as was the roast for mains, although it could have more gravy, which wasn’t a problem when we asked for more. Service and attention to detail could be better. They forgot two of our starters which they apologised and deducted our starters from the bill. Water carafe and wine was neglected, which should be automatically topped up. Plus I asked for the heating to be turned on otherwise we would’ve kept our coats on. If they can refine those small details, then it would deserve 5 stars.
