Pat 'Pops' Newland has been serving authentic British fish and chips in London since 1945, and from this he has recreated a restaurant serving one of Britain's best-loved dishes in a friendly setting, surrounded by authentic 1940s/50s memorabilia lovingly curated by Pops himself. Our menu includes sustainably-caught mouth-watering fresh fish cooked in crunchy batter, served with golden chips and classic mushy peas, prepared on the premises by our onsite fishmonger. We had an evening booking and looked out over the Thames and Tower Bridge,which looks great at night. There is so much choice,you’ll always find something that’s perfect for you. Staff are helpful and will help with your choices (I’m a wine idiot and I don’t know much about anything like that) We were recommended a wine that wasn’t the most expensive,so they actually thought it was the right one,and I reckon it was it was lovely.

Best plaice that I have had for a long time. Batter very tasty and plenty of ‘meaty’ fish flesh. Fresh and hot … could not eat all the chips!!

We really enjoyed everything we had. I asked for a slight variation on my main course, which was done without any fuss. The food & the service are always excellent, which is why I return as often as I can.

Delicious food, the courses were so creative and well thought through. The setting and way the chefs serve the tables was also perfect, not too overwhelming, but really nice to be able to see them plate up each dish in front of you. Also loved the shipping forecast playing in the loos. Delicious cocktails too
