Great birthday breakfast experience. Food was fabulous including the full English breakfast and the buttermilk pancakes. Topped off by a lovely birthday treat. As usual can’t fault the service and overall experience.amy thanks

From initial greeting to seating you’re given a warm welcome. Drinks orders are taken and then your left to enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. Snacks are a big player here, the cheese doughnuts and bacon jam are worth the 120 drive alone, but the bread with chicken butter and black pudding and apple Bon Bon’s are just as delicious. We had the special of the day, a Steak, Wild-mushroom and Onion Pie with a red wine gravy served on garlic mash. Again perfectly cooked and full of flavours. Desert was Tarte Tatin that comes with a great scoop of salted caramel ice cream and a jug of custard. I think value for money, this is one of the best restaurants/gastro pubs you can visit. The ethos of Adam Handling is about complete usage of product, low waste and sustainability. You’re eating in a beautiful setting, with attentive staff and Michelin level food for a fantastic price. I also love that NO service charge is added to your bill, allowing you to tip accordingly, instead of feeling obliged. But as always this is something I’m left wanting to do rather than feeling like I should. I love everything about chef Adam’s establishments and will always return for another installment! Thank you

Enjoyed the 1917 menu - Asian salad & Rendang Curry - absolutely delicious. Usual fantastic service.

We found The Jack Russell in lockdown as a central place to meet friends and walk the dogs. It has never disappointed! The staff are friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble and they are very welcome to the muddiest of dogs (although non dog owners wouldn't be put out). The ambience is relaxed with open fires, lots of wood and comfortable furnishings. Of the course the food is excellent. Delicious and good value - the Sunday roasts are fantastic. Hopefully we will be back soon!

Lovely and classic little village pub just between Stonehenge and Windsor castle. If you’re visiting both sites in the same day this is a great lunch spot.
