Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel. Just as the building in which The Nickel is housed has a storied past, the dishes found on the menu at The Nickel all have a story. Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. In its prime, Steuben’s was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene.

Excellent food taste and portion size. Tried it because it was on DDD, did not disappoint. Patio was a bit crowded. Wait staff was a bit slow, but the managers were walking around filling drinks and just very pleasant. After advising waiter we had to catch a plane, the service times seemed to pick-up. Would definitely return.
