Convinced by his pal Frank Sinatra, Johnny opened the iconic spot just a ways down from Sony Studios on Culver Blvd. It became the watering-hole for the Hollywood elite with Sinatra often in the corner playing the piano against the dark brick walls once lined with portraits of famous John’s. Service was very good as was the food. Very pricey! I know it's LA but $70 for an average size sirloin is too much-especially when it comes with nothing else.

The Arthur J is the best restaurant in Manhattan Beach and that is saying a lot. I love the room, the service is friendly and prompt and the food is excellent. You can't miss with this one.

Our server was great - Although it was cold at end of the dinner as the back door was kept open. Someone opened it. Put a chair there to keep the door ajar.
