Char Bar 7 in Greensboro serves burgers, steaks and cocktails with an emphasis on comfort food. There are a number of wide-screen TVs around the bar and restaurant to catch the game. It's part of a mini-chain of upscale sports bars in the area. Starters at Char Bar 7 include fried pickles, chili, buffalo chicken dip, blackened chicken nachos and chicken fingers.     The service was very fast and helpful. We quickly got all of our drinks, appetizers, and main dishes. The waitress was very polite and answered all the questions we had about the menu with ease and clarity. The food was delicious. We ordered the goopy burger and maltagliati. Both of which were good portion sizes for the price and had great flavor.

    Visiting Charlotte and staying in uptown area. We visited here on a Sunday evening. No idea about parking, we walked. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Service was professional, attentive but not intrusive. They weren't packed when we walked in but it got that way and they handled it well. The food, though. Oh my. I had the baby gem salad and the roquefort dressing was delicious. I had the roasted tenderloin and added a side of Carolina gold rice. My companion had the grilled shrimp and said the shrimp were excellent. He added the blue sweet potato side dish with balsamic and cashews. Unusual but a delight. He shared a bite with me and it was so good. Wines are interesting. We had some great ones.

    Such a great restaurant. Comfortable but upscale, great food, GREAT service from the minute you walk in the door. Highly recommend the coconut cake.
