Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky. We were kindly served Happy Hour indoors due to the cold weather, although Happy Hour is usually served in the bar/patio. Food was delicious, especially the pizzetta with vegan béchamel and vegan cheese. Food selections change seasonally and are consistently excellent. Didn’t give 5 stars on ambience because it was a bit cold inside the restaurant and noisy.

We had a lovely dinner, even better than most at Parkside - which is typically very nice. The sole special was fantastic and the rigatoni a la vodka was exceptional. Can't go wrong with the Parkside Manhattan and it was nice to sit by the fireplace on a cold night.

Everything was great with this visit. From the time we arrived until the time we left, staff was attentive, food was great and the vibe was solid. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The whole experience was superb, from the moment we arrive the staff was friendly. welcoming and very attentive. The food was incredibly delecious andservic impeccable. Could not have had a better time. We'll definitely be back.
