Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences.     It was me and my husband’s 16th wedding anniversary. It’s also our first time in LGB-DC, everything is outstanding from cocktails,the food, the staff—I am planning to have our thanksgiving dinner this year and where best to celebrate it but in LGB!

    The food was beautifully prepared and delicious . Service was very good, non- obtrusive but attentive . We asked for the half round table next to the piano when we made the reservation and that is where we were seated. It was vey appreciated that we were not rushed and asked if we wanted to relax with our drinks before the menus were brought over. A wonderful evening. We did notice that the prices had increased dramatically since our last visit. We just hope the Resturant is still open the next time we come to DC.
