Welcome to Margaritaville Capitola! Our restaurant has been welcoming guests to Capitola for over 30 years. In January 2015 the original owners sold the business to Sunset Hospitality Group, a Santa Cruz family owned and operated company. We completed a full remodel of the restaurant, reinvented the food and service and opened May 7, 2015. The new Margaritaville is dedicated to serving made from scratch Mexican seafood in a first class casual environment. Our dog-friendly heated patio is a great place to enjoy Baja fish tacos and raw oysters on the half shell. Our chile verde and chicken mole enchiladas are rooted in tradition. In addition we take pride in serving a variety of handcrafted margaritas made with fresh juice and local produce. Sunset Hospitality is grateful for the support of Capitola and looks forward to serving the community and visitors for years to come.

    The name says it all—you can never go wrong with a dinner at Mastro’s. It is truly an experience. The quality of the food is unmatched, from the fresh oysters and perfectly prepared tuna to the wide variety of cuts and flavors that make it stand out among the rest. Chef Andres has ensured that every plate is packed with quality, flavor, and a touch of excellence. We will definitely be coming back. A special shoutout to our server, Nick, for his exceptional service—constantly checking on us without rushing, and allowing us to savor and enjoy every moment of our meal.

    I am totally biased as I may have been to Sundance over 500 times over the last 20 years, but this is the most consistent restaurant at which I have ever dined. The staff is incredible, the food is very good and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The level of care they have for their customers is really unparalleled! I am a big fan and hope all will enjoy Sundance too.

    Outstanding location for raw shell fish; the “from the grill” selections are excellent, as are the sushi rolls! The server was excellent as well (Dennis is his name). Service is great, ambiance is choice, and the food and drinks will not disappoint!
