The name “Sessions” comes from the British term “session beers”. During WWI in England, munitions workers had long breaks often taken at the pub where they enjoyed pints of ale with lunch and lively conversation. Sessions has a unique partnership with Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. Chef receives deliveries from the Ranch of their fruits, vegetables, herbs & olive oil. Wonderful dining experience. Great food, excellent service and beautiful ambience. Highly recommended. I had octopus salad (lots of octopus), skate wing (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, nice sauce) and Pavlova (the best!). My friend had the same appetizer and dessert as I and duck breast, which she said was awesome.

Sessions is one of our go-to restaurants for high-quality, expertly prepared, delicious food. We love the setting either indoors or out. For beverages, there is lots of variety with Lucas's French, Italian or Californian wines and a full bar. The short ribs with the polenta cake, Jerusalem artichokes, cranberries and sweet potato puree was the stand-out dish for us this visit. It's a neighborhood gem!
