We had dinner with friends from out of town at Lunch Lady in Vancouver and the experience was amazing. The food is so different and delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. Our wait staff was very friendly and took the time to describe each dish as it was served. We had the $55 sharing menu for 4 and it was well worth the price. Highly recommend

Food was amazing service was great! The loco moco and patty melt were so delicious and unique. Would def order both again. Homer is a must visite in Vancouver. Latte was lovely too!

I sort of chose The Sequel at random. They had open 7 PM tables three days before our visit (you can’t book those at Nightingale a month out) and they had Beef Wellington on the menu. When we got there we found the place was sort of an upper mid-scale in decor…business casual maybe. We are whiskey cocktail drinkers. The Sequel had a good selection of whiskey. The two signature whiskey cocktails did not interest us, so we ended up having “classics”, an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan. Kudos to the bartender for mixing a great Manhattan…a perfect mixture of rye and sweet vermouth. We ordered a charcuterie board for two. It was ok. It had four kinds of meat in fairly large portions , but only two types of cheese. My suggestion, cut back the amount of meat and add one to two more cheeses, and maybe some sort of jam. We also ran out of bread halfway through the board. To be fair, we did not ask for more, but then again the server might have noticed and asked if we wanted more. For our mains, we had The Sequel’s Signature Risotto and yes….Beef Wellington (steak…wrapped in a pastry puff). The risotto was very good and the Wellington was fantastic…better than Hy’s by quite a bit. Probably one of the best I have ever had. No wonder they run out every night. After finishing my classic “continental” dish, I thought we might venture back to a modern flair desert only to be dragged back to the days of dining being an event. There on the menu was Crepe Suzette Flambé. I quizzed our consistently excellent server about the preparation of the dish, “Fire?” “Yes.” “Here?” “Yes…I do it right here at the table.” “Yes, Please!” Great presentation 🔥🔥🔥and great taste. Essentially, the charcuterie board was the only average item we experienced. Everything else was very good to excellent. I definitely recommend The Sequel.

We didn’t feel rushed at all. There were five of us and we had plenty of time for visiting. We enjoyed the food and the server was great.
