At The Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. Always a pleasure to dine at Earl’s. Great drink menu, really good food. Nice variety on the menu. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Reception staff are professional and friendly.

Great flavours and great ambiance. The cod and braised beef dishes were our favourites. We also enjoyed the slaw. The octopus carpaccio was very spicy; maybe too much. We devoured the molten chocolate cake, which was one of the best. The dessert sampler of all-time favourites was also enjoyable and a nice mix of flavours The portion sizes were better than expected. One of the most memorable meals we’ve had in years. Would definitely come back.

Exemplary food - different tastes that worked so well together. Very reasonably priced - lovely presentation. Students polite, attentive - instructor nice enough to take the time to ask about our culinary experience. Will definitely tell my friends and plan to return.
